Geocaching.....

We did a little Geocaching today.  We found our first one at the mall.....
Nicholas is holding the container and the log.  David stayed warm in the van for this search.  It was located on the underside of a box on a light pole.

We stopped by and picked up Katherine and Ty to take them on their first search.  It was cold, but I think they had a good time.  The first one was at Longwood Park.  It was under a bench.  Nicholas took an eraser and left a kooshball.  We also signed the log.

The third one was at some football/baseball fields in Salem.  It was a cool hide.  I had a pic but can't find it right now...if I find it I will post it.

Christmas pictures will be coming soon!!!

Teacher Gifts....

First off, I LOVE PINTEREST!  Second off, I LOVE goofy cute things.  I took a couple things I found on Pinterest, mixed it with some other ideas, and came up with this gift for Nicholas' teachers.  He and I sat down to make the list of people that wanted to give gifts to - and this is only for the adults.  He came up with a list of 17 people.  As crazy as that sounds, it is why I love him - he thinks of everyone and remembers everyone.  In a few years he will be a 7th grader and he will want to go find his kindergarten teacher to make sure she get a Christmas gift.  Too sweet!  Here are a few pictures of treat!

Putting the s'mores together.
Graham Crackers, fluff, and chocolate icing

Filling out his cards...notice the mug off to the side - he really wants to like Hot Chocolate but isn't really sure about it yet :-)

The card...I'm now in love of free online clipart!!

The finished product!
Each teacher got one pack of the s'mores and an ornament.

The back.
I typed a message, but Nicholas wrote the names and "Love- Nick Crawford"

Visiting Santa

We went to Tanglewood Mall to visit Santa. We have had such good luck there each year.  We never have to wait and we have always had a Santa with a real beard!!  LOVE!  When Nicholas was 18 monthes old - he threw an absolute fit!!!  I was fully prepared for David to do the same.  I told Nicholas - just sit on his lap and smile, DO NOT worry about David. haha!!!  Believe it or not - NO TEARS!!!  Now, he wasn't 100% thrilled with the big man in the suit but he took a concerned picture, waved, blew kisses, and gave a high five!!!  I say that was a success.  Grandma takes all of the credit because she said she showed him pictures of Nicholas and Santa all day saying that he wasn't allowed to be scared :-)  Too funny!

My boys....LOVE THEM!

Playing in the picture booth

As Nicholas said...HOW EMBARRASSING1

Almost too big for the toys

Who needs 50 cents when it makes noises on its own?!

Concerned face, but no tears!

Downtown Adventure

We went downtown to the Hotel Roanoke to look at the display of Christmas Trees and see some the Dickens of a Christmas.  Well, let's just say - CRAZY!  Hotel Roanoke was beautiful...I just love that place in general!  The trees were really nice.  Nicholas was given a dollar to vote for his favorite tree - he took it so seriously!!!  Then we went down to the market to see some of the Dickens of a Christmas activities...BUT the Roanoke Christmas Parade was still going on...2 hours after it had started!!!  The market area was nuts-o!!!  We walked around but didn't stay for too long.  Maybe we will try again next year.  We are going to go to Bedford this weekend to see the Elks Home lights - I have gone there ever since I little.  Enjoy the few pics...
