First Day of FIRST Grade

The summer has come to an end...and it is time to head back to school.  Nicholas is super excited about starting First Grade!!  Enjoy the pictures from the bus stop...

Haircut...finally

So, the boys went all summer without a haircut.  Nicholas loves going with the long hair...surfer boy.  Well David - he just didn't get one because Nicholas didn't..LOL!  Look at the before and after shots.

Football Season has begun....

Nicholas is playing Pee-Wee football this year.  He is really enjoying it...we are working on him being more aggressive.  It is hard because I love that he isn't an aggressive kid, but if he is going to play, he has to be able to turn it on.  I think he'll eventually figure it out.  Here are some cute pictures from the scrimmage Saturday morning.  I know...I didn't get any of them playing on the field...they all look the same in their white helmets...none of the pics were very good ;-)

Since it was our last weekend before school starts, we also hit up Splash Valley.  Nicholas went down the BIG slides...I am totally shocked and surprised.  David...well, he clung to me.  He loves the bath tub, but not the pool.

VT Get Together

We made a trip to Martinsville for a Virginia Tech get together!  We love getting together with the girls I lived with my freshman year.  We are all so different, but are such a GREAT fit.  We met up at Jennifer's new house.  The kids had a great time.   The pics are a little blurry...but enjoy!

Greenbrier Classic

Jeremy volunteered for the Greenbrier Classic.  He had a great time.  He met some famous golfers and received a couple of signed golf balls.  I went up Saturday and sat on the 9th green.  It was so much fun that I decided to go up again on Sunday.  The cool part about Sunday is that my cousin went with us and he had an extra ticket....so, we took Nicholas to his first PGA tournament.  He had A BLAST!!!  Here is a picture of the three of us before we headed to the shuttle.  Jeremy is wearing his official uniform.

Nicholas' Birthday!

Nicholas decided this year that he wanted a sleep over birthday party.  He was allowed to invite a four friends.  He invited Tucker (teammate & friend), Landon (teammate, friend & cousin), Ryan (neighbor, teammate, & friend), and Logan (friend & cousin).  They were so well behaved and seemed to have a good time.  Nicholas received some really nice and cool gifts.  Thanks to everyone for thinking of him.
