First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Nicholas' first day of Kindergarten.  I had a little break down the night before...but kept it together this morning.  Here are some pictures to take you through the morning.
GOOD MORNING!!!

He made it from his room to the couch...but was in denial that it was really time to start school.

Telling David goodbye!

Gosh, he's so big!

Nick's best bud, Ryan

We are in BIG trouble with these two!

Waiting for the bus and Emery is none too happy about the boys going to school.

So excited!

David can't wait until he goes to Kindergarten!

Having fun with Bret and Chrystal...the "other proud parents"  :-)

We are so proud of him!

Here comes the bus!!

Finally, Emery joins in the fun!

and off they go!!!!
I picked Nicholas up at Kingdom Kids around 3:40.  I didn't get too much out of him about the day except that he went to PE, ate lunch, and talked about stuff.  He did get a green dot on his folder, which means he had a good day!  So, I guess we are off on the right track!  Thanks to Mrs. Brenda (our friend in the front office) for e-mailing me today to say that she saw Nick in the hall and that he had a big grin on his face!  That made my day.  I missed taking him with me to Burlington.  My ride was much quieter.  But I know he is going to have a great year and learn so much!

This weekend will be busy!  We have a big NHS football game Friday night, a NHS volleyball tournament all day Saturday, and Nicholas has a football scrimmage Saturday morning.  I'll keep you posted!

Golf Tournament Results and the Water Park

Saturday started out as a humid day...and around 3:00 when the Parent-Child Championship was to tee-off, the skies opened up!!!  I mean absolutely POURED!  But no worries, Nicholas and Jeremy got to play.  They shot a 41 and finished 4th out of 20 teams.  Nicholas (and Jeremy) were so proud.  This was his first tournament.  He informed us that he would love to play in more.  Oh, no!  I think we have a golfer!

The Crawford Two-some!

The weather on Sunday was so nice - not too hot...and a nice breeze!  We celebrated Ryan's birthday and then had Joel over to play.  Ellie was nice enough to invite us over to play in her new Water Park :-)  The boys had a blast!  Thank you, Ellie!!!
Ryan was the only one ready!

Taking turns

They started up the hill and ran onto the slide

upcoming weekend

Jeremy and Nicholas are playing in a Father-Child golf tournament at Hanging Rock tomorrow afternoon.  They are so excited.  Nicholas has asked a million questions...which is what he does when he is nervous.  I will post some pictures and results tomorrow!

I took Nicholas to the doctor on Thursday for his SIX year old check-up.  He was pumped because it did not involve any shots and the doctor informed him that he would be shot-free for at least 4 to 5 more years.  The doctor said he is in great health and is a "big boy".  Yikes!  He is a little over 4 feet tall and right at 60lbs.

David is doing great.  For about the last week he has been sleeping from 9:00pm to about 4:30am.  Seven and a half hours - I'LL TAKE IT!!!  He has gotten so big and his personality is shining through.  He loves to smile and giggle.  You can tell he is really cracked up when he sticks his tongue out while smiling.  It is hard to believe he is almost 3 months old!!!

New pics and golf tournament results tomorrow!!
