Cereal, football, and playtime...

We tried some cereal with David...he ate it but it was just OK.  Nothing too exciting :-)

Nicholas had football pictures and his first football game on Saturday.  They play two halves - 10 offensive plays and 10 defensive plays each half.  They had the best time.  Technically they don't keep score - but we score three touchdown and they scored one :-)  So, we'll say it was a win!

Nick and Tucker looking tough

This pose was the best we could get...the others looked like they were getting their cheerleading pictures taken :-)

The masterminds behind the Irish!

Nicholas is the one on the far right in the back.

Getting some water

In just the last few days, David has really started interacting and playing with toys.  He is starting to grab and chew - here come the days of teething!  He got a new floor mat to play on.  Of course, Nicholas couldn't resist it either :-)

And lastly, a picture of Nicholas and I being silly.

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Nicholas' first day of Kindergarten.  I had a little break down the night before...but kept it together this morning.  Here are some pictures to take you through the morning.
GOOD MORNING!!!

He made it from his room to the couch...but was in denial that it was really time to start school.

Telling David goodbye!

Gosh, he's so big!

Nick's best bud, Ryan

We are in BIG trouble with these two!

Waiting for the bus and Emery is none too happy about the boys going to school.

So excited!

David can't wait until he goes to Kindergarten!

Having fun with Bret and Chrystal...the "other proud parents"  :-)

We are so proud of him!

Here comes the bus!!

Finally, Emery joins in the fun!

and off they go!!!!
I picked Nicholas up at Kingdom Kids around 3:40.  I didn't get too much out of him about the day except that he went to PE, ate lunch, and talked about stuff.  He did get a green dot on his folder, which means he had a good day!  So, I guess we are off on the right track!  Thanks to Mrs. Brenda (our friend in the front office) for e-mailing me today to say that she saw Nick in the hall and that he had a big grin on his face!  That made my day.  I missed taking him with me to Burlington.  My ride was much quieter.  But I know he is going to have a great year and learn so much!

This weekend will be busy!  We have a big NHS football game Friday night, a NHS volleyball tournament all day Saturday, and Nicholas has a football scrimmage Saturday morning.  I'll keep you posted!
